At the northern tip of the Cotentin peninsula, just a few miles from the Cap Lévi lighthouse—known as KAPELWICK (“the cove of the chapel”), a name given by the Norman invaders—Ludovic Capelle produces an authentic Calvados that is lively, well-oxygenated, and energetic, much like its place of origin.

The phonetic similarity between Kapelwick and Capelle Ludovic also contributed to this name choice.

During a trade fair in Switzerland, after tasting a remarkable Alsatian whisky, Ludovic came up with the idea of creating his own Norman whisky using Calvados, and named it Kapelwick.

Aged in new oak barrels, this 9-year-old Calvados is highly appreciated as an aperitif for its fruity character with notes of vanilla.

A Calvados that combines roundness and power!
