At the northern tip of the Cotentin peninsula, a few miles from the Cap Lévi lighthouse, lies KAPELWICK (“the cove of the chapel”), a name given by the Norman invaders. It is here that Ludovic Capelle produces an authentic Calvados that is lively, well-oxygenated, and tonic, reflecting the character of its native land.

The phonetic similarity between Kapelwick and Capelle Ludovic also contributed to the choice of name.

During a trade fair in Switzerland, after tasting a remarkable Alsatian whisky, Ludovic came up with the idea of creating his own Norman whisky using Calvados, which he named Kapelwick.

Aged in new oak barrels, this 7-year-old Calvados is highly appreciated as an aperitif for its fruity character with notes of vanilla.

A Calvados full of freshness and indulgence.
