Christelle Le Bourhis

After spending the early part of her career in the cultural sector, Christelle decided, upon her parents’ retirement, to return to the family farm and revive the cider production that had been abandoned 50 years earlier.

Based in the region of Clohars-Carnoët, renowned for its ciders, Christelle chose to work with local varieties by replanting orchards in the former meadows.

At the Ꝃ* cidery, they stick to the definition of natural cider: organic, hand-picked, matured, no additives, no filtration, natural fermentation… In short, everything we love at Cidrea!

The cuvées are delicately balanced, bittersweet blends where the natural cloudiness adds body and soul, like waking up in the morning amidst a thick coastal mist as the sun begins to break through… Simply magical…

*Ꝃ: a forgotten letter of the Breton language, a variation on the ubiquitous ‘Ker’ used to denote hamlets, a symbol of diversity and cultural richness.
